Detailed description of Giants Ridge Golf - The Legend
Giants Ridge Golf & Ski Resort, is a Resort, 36 hole golf facility located in Biwabik, Minnesota. The facility has two 18-hole golf courses. They are The Quarry at Giant Ridge and The Legend at Giants Ridge.
The Legend is a real “Northwoods” course featuring towering pines, giant fairways and majestic views of Wynne and Sabin Lakes.
The Legend golf course first opened for play in 1997. The par-72 layout was designed by Jeffrey D. Brauer.
The Legend at Giants Ridge is a great Minnesota golf course. With signature holes that take your breath away, The Legend is a challenging par 72 that wanders over and through the north woods terrain. This is Minnesota golf as it was meant to be played. Highlighted by bentgrass fairways, white sand bunkers, sparkling blue lakes, giant boulders and towering trees, The Legend at Giants Ridge is a Minnesota resort golf course that's famous for all the right reasons.
The Legend plays to a maximum distance of 6,930 yards for a course rating of 73.7 and a slope rating of 133.

I travel from California to Minnesota every year to visit family. My wife and I drag our clubs along because we would not think of going to Minnesota without playing the Legend at Giants Ridge. I would have to go to Ireland or Scotland to have better scenery. The course is very well designed, in excellent condition, and more playable than the Quarry. We have the Legend in our blood.

Very nice resort golf course. I prefer the Quarry to the Legend, but it is definitely worth playing. It was a little soggy when we played because it had rained a bunch, but the course held up well.
